  3. They are the donors in all their lives.
  4. They make their own food and store and supply all human beings and animals.
  5. What are the parts of the plant?the roots and shoots
  6. Where can you find the root? under the ground.
  7. Do trees have long and deep roots? yes
  8. Do they sometimes act as a speed-breaker in the bus-route? yes.
  9. What about the roots of the plants? they do not go so deep.
  10. What are the functions of the roots? They act as foundation for the building and fix the plant or tree firmly in the soil.
  11. Roots bind the soil and hold the plants and trees .
  12. They help the plants as mouth for us,they absorb water and mineral salts.
  13. What is the benefit for the soil? Water and Wind will play havoc by washing away the soil and or blowing away the soil.

  19. What are root hairs? How so they help the plants?
  20. Tap root has many branches ending in tiny root hairs.
  21. They absorb the water and minerals and salts and pass them everywhere in the plants.
  22. What are called Fibrous roots? They are  a group of roots or as cluster.

  70. a. take the brown liquid, Iodine.
  71. b. take a potato,cut in two pieces.
  72. c. take drop of iodine and put in the open cut position of the potato.
  73. d. Check what happens.
  74. e. Does the colour brown change into deep blue black.
  75. f.So the potato has starch in it.

  83. What does coconut tree gives us?  shade when in group,coir for ropes and matting, fresh tender coconuts for water, coconuts for cooking and oil.The trunks are used for making boats, leaves are woven for making roofs on the houses.

  85. Why do we use quinine? as a medicine for Malaria.
  86. What are used as antiseptics? Turmeric and Neem.
  87. What are antiseptics? for not forming septic and pus in the wounds.
  88. What do we use bael for? stomach upset.
  89. Why growing trees is most important? We get oxygen to breathe and live.To keep air fresh and clean. To reduce noise pollution. to get rain,
  90. How will the earth be without trees? barren hot dry desert.
  91. What do give back to plants?  the carbon dioxide.
  92. What do the even the dead animals give them? minerals.
  93. What do animals do? they eat the plants, man and wild beasts ea them and get energy to live and sustain.
  94. What helps to make rain clouds? Water evaporating from the leaves condenses  and it helps to make rain clouds.
